S HORNE SHEPHERD (1909 - 1993) OILPAINTING OF A NUDE Shepherd was a painter, printmaker and teacher, born in Dundee, Angus. He studied at Glasgow School of Art 1927-30, teachers including Maurice Greiffenhagen, and also taught there. Later he taught at Shoreditch Training College and St Martin's School of Art. Shepherd exhibited at the Royal Scottish Academy, the Scottish Society of Artists, National Society of Painters, Sculptors and Gravers/Printmakers, and Free Painters and Sculptors. Museums: Victoria and Albert Museum, Arts Council, and Melbourne Art Gallery, Australia hold his work. Lived latterly at Rudgwick, Sussex.
