Born in Belfast in 1957, Andrea Newman studied at Gloucestershire College of Art and Design, and then obtained a B.A. (Hons.) at Brighton Polytechnic. She has had solo exhibitions at Christchurch Mansion "The Room Upstairs" in Ipswich and the Chapel Galleries Colchester, as well as one in 1994 at Wuppertal in Germany. Newman's Group exhibitions over the last fifteen years have been numerous, spread across Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex, and including selection for the Essex Open in Colchester and the Laing Landscape Competition in Cambridge, both in 1994. She has also been included several times in the Eastern Open in Kings Lynn, Norfolk.
