Sidney HOMER (1912 - 1993)

'NEW QUAY FROM THE PIER, CARDIGAN BAY'

Painter who had art training at the Birmingham College of Art where Bernard Fleetwood Walker was his main teacher during the early 1930's. It was about this time that he started showing his work, and he exhibited at the Royal Watercolour Society, Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour, and the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists, of which he was a member for many years. He also worked in advertising, both as a graphic artist and an illustrator.

Homer's work may be found in many private and public collections, including Dudley Art Gallery.
