EMPIRE STYLE DESK

The design is based on a desk made for King Carl XIV Johan of Sweden and Norway c. 1820

It is veneered in Ancona walnut and vavona.

The top has an inset oval of birch (below) with inlays of a pair of griffins with the tripod of Apollo in birchwood
