BIEDERMEIER GRANDFATHER CLOCK SWEDISH C. 1840 BIRCHWOOD SIGNED: C EHREMBERG - ÖREBRO CARL EHREMBERG (1796-1864). He served his apprenticeship and became a clockmaker in Söderköping in 1819. He moved to Nyköping in 1830 until 1839, when he moved to Örebro. Ehremberg made a famous clock with an organ that was re-sold in 1970 in Stockholm. He made the Tower clock for the St Nicolai Church in Örebro in 1842. He specialised in grandfather clocks, wall clocks and silver pocket watches.
